MEMO 98, the Open Society Institute and NOS-OSF Bratislava would like to invite you to the presentation of the monitoring report
“Television across Europe: Follow-up reports 2008 – Slovakia and the Czech Republic” prepared by EUMAP (EU Monitoring and Advocacy Program) of the Open Society Institute and by the Media Program of the Open Society Foundation. The project is an update of the situation in nine of the original twenty countries, including Slovakia and the Czech Republic, covered in the 2005 reports series
“Television across Europe: regulation, policy and independence”.
In the framework of the presentation, we would like to introduce you a joint report on the situation of television in Slovakia (prepared by MEMO 98) and the Czech Republic (prepared by Eva Rybková from PASOS). At the same time, we would like to share with you the European overview based on the nine country reports included in the follow-up series.
In addition, we would also like to introduce you the results of a content analysis of selected Slovak and Czech TV stations, including a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the nationwide Slovak TV channels, conducted in November and December 2008.
The presentations will take place
on 12 February at 09.30 in the Open Gallery of NOS-OSF at Baštova 5, Bratislava. Free copies of the reports and media monitoring analysis will be available after the presentations.
